Owner Beth Scholtes

Beth is fulfilling a long-time dream of owning her own business. After graduating from Miami University in Ohio, she spent 30+ years in the HR and technology space, leading teams and driving continuous improvement. FCI is a great fit for Beth as she has a passion for providing a great customer experience.

Beth and her family moved from the Chicago suburbs to the Lake Norman area in 2015. She is an activist for autism, neurodivergence acceptance and mental health awareness. A fan of the arts, Beth grew up with her mother who was an artist and her father who was an educator. She was taught to appreciate art in all of its forms and enjoys gallery hopping, painting and writing.

Operations Manager Jen Franco

Jen joined FCI with Beth. As the operations manager, Jen is responsible for the execution of our sales and installations. She also has great experience working for a leader in the window cleaning business, managing business social media content as well as publishing a 40-page, monthly magazine.

Jen grew up all over the world, living in Ethiopia, Holland, Australia and Japan to name a few. She graduated from Strayer University with a Bachelor of Arts. Jen, her husband and her children live in Mooresville, relatively close to Jen’s extended family. To this day, one of Jen’s favorite things to do is travel, having had tremendous exposure to other countries and cultures.

Design Associate Neal Martin

Neal, former owner of Floor Coverings International Lake Norman (FCI LKN), currently works with the team as a talented Design Associate. He has superior expertise regarding our flooring products and loves meeting with clients to design the perfect solution.

Prior to joining FCI, Neal had a long and successful career in business and private equity specifically. He spent over 20 years with WernerCo, now ProDriven Brands, driving sales and growth strategies internationally. He spent the last 7 years of his time with WernerCo as SVP Business Development, where he led global revenue and profit growth initiatives in the US, UK, Canada, and Latin America.

Neal loves to spend time with friends and family. He continues to reside in Mooresville, where he is a grill master, leveraging five separate grills to create culinary masterpieces. He also enjoys the occasional glass of whiskey and a unique cigar.

Production Coordinator Mitch Bockey

Mitch joined the FCI team in May, 2024 as our Production Coordinator. Mitch is the primary interface when it comes to ordering products and managing the installation process. He spends a fair amount of his time onsite at our project locations, ensuring that the installations go smoothly.

Mitch is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Business Administration. After graduation, he spent three years as a staffing specialist in the construction industry, covering several territories in the southern part of the US including greater Atlanta. In his position with FCI, he is able to leverage both his construction industry and educational backgrounds.

When he is not working, Mitch enjoys attending Charlotte-area events, gaming, and cooking. He also enjoys target practice and of course, following Alabama football. Roll Tide!
