We initially looked at a big-box store for our flooring project, but we really wanted to support a local business. We were hoping Sam Fong could match their estimate,. He got close enough, and delivered. Working with him was a great experience. He helped us pick out the best flooring options, and was very transparent about the whole process. On the day of the install, his team lead Erick and the crew arrived right on time and got to work immediately. They were incredibly fast and efficient (ripped out our old carpet, removed the underlayment, cleared away old tacks and nails). They cleaned everything up before even started laying the new floor, and were so careful not to damage or scuff any part of our house. The final result looks great, and the attention to details in their finishing work really shows.

Sam was incredible to work with. We needed work done on our subfloor and new flooring installed, and he came to our home for assessment, listened carefully to what we needed and showed us great options to choose from that fit in our budget. He walked us through the entire process and timeline of the project, and he communicated clearly and thoroughly when answering all the our questions. We are very happy with product and quality of the work.

This post is lengthy but I tried to be fair. We had new hardwood floors put in 4 upstairs bedrooms and a small hallway and new hardwood installed on the main level in 3 rooms. They were to tie in with existing hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining room and to be refinished. First I'll start with the good and end with the latter. The lead for our project was Javier and he was extremely friendly and easy to work with. He was responsive and took the time to answer our questions and concerns. The flooring that was installed upstairs and downstairs looks terrific and the guys worked really hard, some days for long hours. We are happy with how the floors turned. The reason for the 3 stars are multiple things that I will mention and a couple I won't due to the limited number of characters for the review. The issues outlined here were controllable and not things outside of anyone's control. The first issue was being asked on 3 occasions if we could pick up materials for the job. These items were for plumbing, customized floor vents and shoe molding. We had to pay for it upfront and would be credited at the end (which we were). We were told they would use plastic tarps for dust mitigation on kitchen cabinets, appliances, and electronics. I also asked that our router and other electronics stay connected and tarped during this process so we could still function in the house. Doing a walkthrough after sanding I found ⅔ of the kitchen cabinets were covered and my electronics were not covered. I was told the guys missed it. A thick layer of dust lied on the sensitive electronics and caused our AT&T router to stop working and we had to wait a week for a tech to come out and restore service. Other issues we had were unhappy comments from the guys regarding furniture removal. The cost to remove furniture was factored into the final price. A large hole was put in the base of our main stairs. It was fixed with wood Epoxy and painted over but it's obvious something happened as it doesn't match the rest of the base. A gouge (approx 3" x 1") was put in our living room drywall. One of the workers searched my basement for plaster to fix it. There’s a long black streak a foot long on the master bedroom wall that won’t wipe off. They got floor caulking on the ceiling. It was removed but the ceiling now has an oily film on it from the stuff they used and the film doesn’t wipe off. Now the surrounding area doesn’t match the flat ceiling paint. They missed adding new hardwood to a kitchen pantry and had to come back after all the floors were done but couldn’t tie the new pantry wood into the existing floor as it would mess up the finished floor. They used several of my Milwaukee tools (nail gun, nails, circular saw, drill gun and batteries) for the day without asking. When Sam was told, he said the guy must've been too lazy to go to the van. The job was to take 7-10 days and took 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, they left all the refuse in the garage for 4 extra days rendering the garage unusable. After getting upset with Sam on the 4th day, he had the garbage removed. Once the project completed, we spoke to Sam explaining the issues. He agreed to come out to discuss final payment and issues. Upon arrival his attitude was anything but apologetic. When we tried discussing the issues we were greeted with smugness, arrogance, deflection and excuses. He reminded us that he had many crews out on many jobs at the time and these things sometimes happen and followed that up with ‘More money, more problems’. We received no apology and proceeded to let us know that as long as we liked the flooring then that was all that mattered. He offered to take $250 off for our inconvenience. While this good faith gesture was surprising, I think we were looking for a more contrite owner. In closing, the flooring looks great but the process is not good and starts at the top. Would we use them again for other projects, no. Would we recommend them to others, no. I believe there’s better options out there for customers looking for a better experience than the one we had.

We recently had our carpets installed and had a really great experience overall. The team went above and beyond in several areas that made the entire process smooth and stress-free. One of the biggest positives was that they handled moving all the furniture both before and after the installation. That saved us a lot of effort and made a huge difference. The carpet quality itself is excellent — it looks great, feels comfortable, and clearly reflects good materials. The crew was punctual and arrived exactly as scheduled, which we really appreciated. Throughout the process, a site manager also stopped by to check on the progress and proactively asked if we had any concerns. That level of attention gave us confidence that the job was being done right. After the installation, the team made sure to clean up everything thoroughly, including dust around the work areas. The place was left neat and tidy. Most importantly, the entire job was completed on time as promised. Overall, very professional service, high-quality work, and a team that clearly cares about customer satisfaction. Would definitely recommend!
