Sam and his team were absolutely fantastic to work with from start to finish! I had several contractors come out to the house to provide estimates, but Sam was by far the most thorough, the most patient, and the most helpful. He walked me through the entire process, ordered samples for me to keep on hand while I decided, answered every question I had, and even came out on installation day to check on the crew and make sure everything was going well. Speaking of which… Sam’s crew was beyond top-notch— from the three guys who worked non-stop in blistering heat, moving appliances, tearing out layer after layer of old flooring, and laying down the new laminate planks, to Erik, the project manager who was not only a master of quality control, but also came back out after hours to fix a DIY plumbing error made by the previous owners that resulted in a small leak in the kitchen during the demolition phase. The guys even came back out a week after the job was finished to replace a damaged plank that was missed during the final walk-through. Seriously, I can’t imagine any other company would have gone to the lengths that these guys did to make sure I was comfortable with the process and happy with my new floors. I honestly can’t recommend Sam and his team enough. Oh, and the floors look spectacular!!!

Entirely happy with my complete home flooring job. Sam was willing to meet all my personal needs and definitely did the job the right way for me. His team of workers were absolutely fantastic and left my home clean and put all my furniture back exactly where it was before. This company really cares about their customers. I was blown away at how fast they got it done too. Don’t hesitate to use this quality company!!!!

Our decision to choose Floor Covering International of Geneva, IL was largely decided based on our experience meeting Sam for our initial consultation. Sam, who is also the owner, was the only person that gave us options and alternatives to LVP based on the assessment of our needs for our home. It was a truly refreshing experience to see someone very knowledgeable about flooring and construction and created a pressure free environment allowing us to make a better more informed decision about our investment for the flooring in our home. Ultimately we chose a Mohawk waterproof laminate flooring that met our needs. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and exceeded our expectations. What really stood out was the hands-on involvement of the owner himself. It’s rare these days to find someone like Sam who not only runs the business but is also deeply invested in the quality of the work and the satisfaction of the customer. He took the time to walk us through the entire process, patiently answered every question we had, and made sure we felt confident in each step along the way. We felt a genuine sense of trust from the very beginning. The crew was respectful, punctual, and open to feedback throughout the project, which made me feel like my input truly mattered. Sam stopped by to present the hardwood flooring options along with carpet and padding samples. After that, the hardwood team came in and sanded down our old 3/4” floors. They then stained and sealed them, making them look brand new, all in just two days. We’re really happy with how it turned out. Next up was the carpet team, who handled the four bedrooms and hallway upstairs. I thought the amount of furniture would be a challenge, but they worked around it like a puzzle. The result is a huge upgrade from the builder-grade carpet, and they finished everything in just one day. We absolutely love the transformation.
